BOLINGBROOK – A local man faces several charges after illegally entering a Bolingbrook home Thursday, according to a news release from the Bolingbrook Police Department.

Officers responded at 11:33 a.m. to a home in the 500 block of Blackhawk Lane after a neighbor reported seeing a man crawl in the residence's window, the release said.

The homeowner answered the door, the release said, and upon checking the home, police found Elton Dorsey, 18, of 1076 Crestwood Lane, in the bedroom of the homeowner's 17-year-old daughter, who was also present.

Dorsey had multiple plastic bags of suspect marijuana, according to the release. He was taken into custody and charged with residential burglary, possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, criminal trespass and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, the release said.

Police said Dorsey is not allowed on the property and has been involved with drug activity previously from the residence.

While he was being escorted out, the homeowner's teenage daughter became verbally abusive and began to strike an officer, according to the release.

She was also taken into custody and charged with aggravated battery to a police officer and resisting arrest, and was transported to River Valley Youth Detention Facility, the release said.

Dorsey was transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
