Letter: Making education a priority

Published: Monday, March 31, 2014 11:46 a.m. CDT

To the Editor:

The members of the Glenbard4Kids ballot initiative committee would like to thank those who voted in support of the Glenbard District 87 referendum. The approval of this referendum, with an associated 0-percent tax rate increase to the district's Bond and Interest Fund, sends a strong message about the voters' commitment to the safety, comfort and academic success of its students. The impact of this initiative will be felt for many years to come, and our community will benefit substantially from its passage.

Thank you for making education a priority and for helping to provide our students with the best possible learning environment.
