Village of Woodridge launches new online financial transparency platform

DOWNERS GROVE – Woodridge Village Finance Director Nadine Alletto introduced a new online tool that visually presents village revenues and expenses at the village board meeting March 27. The new tool is accessible by the public and provides info ranging from multi-year budgetary trends to object-level details.

Citizens and staff can use the web-based software OpenGov to enhance, access, understand and analyze of Woodridge’s annual budget, according to a press release.

“We are excited to provide an online resource that makes accessing and understanding Woodridge’s budget and finances easier," Mayor Gina Cunningham said. "With the information provided by this new software, we are excited for the opportunity to improve dialogue between the Village and residents."

The software provides the village board and staff with an additional budgeting tool, allowing for trending and historical data to be accessed easily and analyzed visually using a variety of charts and graphs. It also provides up-to-date financial information that will help inform decisions in a timely manner.
