Elmhurst Rotary Club to host fundraiser

ELMHURST – The Elmhurst Rotary Club will host a "Transforming Lives Through Education" fundraiser.

This year's spotlight charities are Children UP and A New Day Cambodia. Children UP focuses on children living in rural northern Uganda and provides them the opportunity to pursue secondary education. A New Day Cambodia is an international relief and development organization that provides shelter, food and education for children in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

The fundraiser features a raffle drawing for a $10,000 first prize, a $1,000 second prize and $500 third prize. Only 350 tickets will be sold and are available from club members for a $100 donation. All proceeds from the event to benefit the Elmhurst Rotary Charitable Trust Fund.

The evening begins with a social hour and Hors d’ oeuvres, followed by dinner, a silent and live auction, entertainment and dancing.

The fundraiser starts at 6 p.m. April 26 at the Butterfield Country Club, 2800 Midwest Road, Oak Brook.
