BOLINGBROOK – Chicago real estate investment firm Starwood Retail Partners may soon be the new owners of the Bolingbrook Promenade, according to media reports.

The sale could happen as early as April, according to reports. Although the possible purchase price was not disclosed, the asking price was reportedly about $100 milliom last summer.

Starwood Retail Partners also operates Louis Joliet Mall and Chicago Ridge Mall.

Current owners Forest City Enterprises hired Cushman & Wakefield, Inc., in August to sell the mall, which opened in 2007.

The 628,995-square-foot mall sits near Boughton Road and Interstate-355. Tenants include Barnes & Noble, Bass Pro Shops, iPic Theaters and Binny's Beverage Depot, among others.

According to media reports, Macy's operates its own property and is not part of the sale.

Forest City invested about $152 million into the mall, according to media reports.
