Man allegedly leaves garbage at police station

Published: Saturday, March 29, 2014 5:30 a.m. CDT

RIVERSIDE – According to the Riverside Police Department, every day for two weeks, someone was throwing a bag of McDonald’s trash in front of the police and fire departments day after day at different times.

At 6:20 p.m. March 19, a Riverside officer on patrol reported seeing someone drive by the station, roll down his window and proceed to throw a bag of McDonald’s garbage in front of the department.

Riverside police stopped the car and cited Scott M. Cedarburg, 61, of the 10600 block of Fleet Street in Westchester, for depositing trash or harmful material on a road.

According to police, Cedarburg told them he was throwing trash in front of the police station because of a general dislike of village government.

Cedarburg will face a minimum fine of $100 at a future court hearing, police said.
