Letter: A dangerous game
To the Editor:
Letting people of Illinois carry concealed fire arms is a dangerous game with as many crimes as there are that happen on a day-to-day basis. Carrying concealed firearms will only (make) matters worse for the people of Illinois and for the residents of major cities like the people of Chicago, because anyone could potentially be caring some sort of gun.
People of major cities as Chicago have no patience for day-to-day situations with everyone always being in (a) rush getting from point “a” to point “b” and say if someone was getting picked on and just pulled out their gun and shot the aggravator that’s just an unnecessary shooting and could possibly hurt or even kill bystanders. What is the point of having concealed carry? Don’t more guns on the street mean more shootings?
The only people that should have the authority to conceal their weapons are police officers and men who have served our country, there are too many people in this state that could have (the) mindset to hurt people instead of just protecting themselves. Carrying concealed firearms will not end the shooting in our state or our towns.
