HINSDALE – More than 1,800 cancer survivors, families, friends and volunteers will gather May 4 in support of people living with cancer and to celebrate life at the annual Walk for Wellness House fundraiser.
This family event will begin and end at Wellness House located at 131 N. County Line Road in Hindsale.
For over 20 years, Wellness House has been providing programs and services to families affected by a cancer diagnosis, according to a news release from Wellness House.
Participants register as an individual, but also have the option of forming or joining a team. A team consists of three or more individuals who work together to achieve their own set fundraising goal.
Participants their own creative touch by establishing “Star Wars” themed names, special costumes, and other flare. Wellness House’s goal is for each "EWoker/ERunner" is to raise $250, and for teams to raise at least $250 per member.
Event day registration is from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. May 4, and the race begins at 8:30 a.m.
