A Book Above to host Baseball-A-Palooza

ELMHURST – To kick off the start of spring, A Book Above will host Baseball-A-Palooza this weekend just in time for opening day.

The all-day event includes storytime, face painting and Mike Giovenco who's been drafted by Major League Baseball twice.

Visitors can enter a drawing for Kane County Cougars and Schaumburg Boomers tickets. In addition, all baseball books will be 10 percent off.

Baseball storytime ages 2 to 5, 10 to 10:30 a.m.

• Baseball storytime ages 6 to 9, 11 to 11:30 a.m.

• Bolingbrook Tee Ball president and coach Carl Crooks, 1 to 2 p.m.

• Face painting with Beth MacKinney, 2 to 3 p.m.

• Minor League pitcher Mike Giovenco, 3 to 4 p.m.
