Published: Friday, March 21, 2014 2:25 p.m. CDT

CAROL STREAM – For the fourth year, Carol Stream Animal Hospital is offering a $1,000 college scholarship to a high school senior.

The scholarship is open to Carol Stream residents or Glenbard North High School students interested in the life sciences, primarily an animal-related field.

Primary criteria that will be considered in the selection of the scholarship recipient include community, church and school service or activities, demonstration of leadership qualities, academic achievement and financial need.

Applicants must plan to attend a four-year educational institution to study a life sciences-related field.

Applications may be picked up from the guidance office at Glenbard North or www.glenbardnorthhs.org, under the guidance tab on the website.

Prospective applicants will be interviewed by a veterinary representative of the clinic for final selection.

Return completed applications by April 1 to Dr. Elise Ciribassi, Carol Stream Animal Hospital, 140 W. Elk Trail, Carol Stream.
