HINSDALE

Burglary charged

William Lukas, 40, 5510 S. Elm St., was charged with burglary at 4:22 p.m. Sunday in the 200 block of East 55th Street after he was observed entering the victim’s detached garage and was founf on the premesis when police arrived.

Fighting charged

A 16-year-old male juvenile from Naperville and a 16-year-old female juvenile from Clarendon Hills were charged with fighting at 1:14 p.m. March 11 at Hinsdale Central, 5500 S. Grant St. The students were issued local ordinance citations for fighting in the hallway of the school.

Obstructing an officer charged

Levon McKinzie, 39, 351 W. 55th St., Clarendon Hills, was charged with resisting and obstructing an officer, illegal transportation of alcohol and improper lane usage at 2:29 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of 55th and Garfield streets.

DARIEN

DUI charged

• Maurice Harris, 24, 7425 Woodward Ave., Woodridge, was charged with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol March 10 at the intersection of 75th Street and Cass Avenue.

• Christopher Juracek, 39, 121 Crabtree Drive, Westmont, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of an accident and operating an uninsured motor vehicle March 15 at Taco Bell, 7419 Cass Ave.

Property damage

A vehicle was keyed while parked in the parking lot March 7 at Extended Stay America, 2345 Sokol Court.

Attempted scam reported

A resident in the 3300 block of Brewer Road received a telephone call March 14 from an unidentified person claiming to be the IRS and that the victim owed money. No monetary loss was reported.

Possession charged

Ryan Kirn, 21, 7125 Walden Lane, was charged with possession of marijuana Saturday at the intersection of 71st Street and Walden Lane.
