LA GRANGE – The La Grange Business Association will award one high school senior with a $1,000 college scholarship at the beginning of next month.

The new award – LGBA Keeping It Local Scholarship – was created to recognize hard working students who've supported local businesses as part-time employees.

Applicants must submit a letter with his or her name, address, student ID number, school transcript, the student's future college or university, future goals and educational plans, a letter written by the business owner and an essay detailing what it means to work in the community.

Submissions, due by March 21, can be sent to the La Grange Business Association, 106 Calendar Avenue, Box LGBA.
