BARRINGTON – A Spring Wine Walk will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. April 12 in downtown Barrington.

With merchants offering free wine tasting and tasty treats, the event is planned to kick off the spring and summer shopping season – just in time for Easter and Mother's Day.

Over 20 shops and eight restaurants and wine merchants are participating. Customers can begin the walk at any participating business, picking up a full location map for the tasting.

Participating locations include Acacia Organics, Anderson’s Candy Shop, Angelina, Barrington Flower Shop, Bravura Home & Gift Shop, Gene Ann’s Yarns, Grassroots, Mia Sorella, Notice, Solisq, The Annex, Urban Flair, Vin Chicago, Norton’s U.S.A, Chessie’s Restaurant, Carol and Company and Fleur de Lis Salon.

This is the third year the village of Barrington has hosted seasonal wine walks. The wines for Saturday’s event are being provided by Heinen’s Fine Foods, Near Restaurant, Cooper’s, The Annex, McGonigal’s Pub, Grassroots and Vin Chicago and Chessie’s.
