Lisle police patrols to crack down on drunk driving during St. Patrick's Day

LISLE – The Lisle Police Department is conducting special patrols during the St. Patrick's Day holiday to crack down on drunk driving and unbuckled motorists, according to a department news release.

The patrols are underway and will continue through March 17.

Residents are reminded to drive sober and wear a seat belt.

The campaign is funded by federal traffic safety funds from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and is administered through the Illinois Department of Transportation's Division of Traffic Safety.
