La Grange residents can clean out their closets and garages for the annual Spring Clean Up April 7.

LA GRANGE – The annual Spring Clean Up day for La Grange residents will be held throughout the week of April 7, according to the village.

Residents who live north of 47th Street will have the cleanup day April 7 and residents who live south of 47th Street will have their day April 10.

The Spring Clean Up allows residents to set an unlimited amount of refuse on the curb. Three stickers are required for each home’s collection. As a one-time pickup, if residents miss the day, it can’t be rescheduled.

Items should be placed on the curb by 7 a.m. on collection day.

Acceptable items include appliances, furniture, carpet – cut down to 4 feet in length and weighing less than 30 pounds – along with bikes, fans and more. A full list of acceptable and unacceptable items can be found online at www.village-oflagrange.com.

Items – excluding furniture, appliances and large bulk items – must be bagged, or placed in cans and or boxes, no heavier than 50 pounds each.
