WEST CHICAGO – As part of a special showcase, Community High School District 94’s Wego Drama will perform two plays that they will be presenting to the Illinois High School Association.

The plays “Dollhouse” and “Company” focus on relationships and stretch both the artist and the viewer, according to a school district news release.

“These shows are important pieces of literature, and we want to move everyone with our work,” senior Josué Muñoz said in the release.

“Dollhouse” focuses on a woman named Nora and her desire both to please her husband and keep a secret.

“Company” is based on the musical by Stephen Sondheim. It focuses on the character Bobby’s views of dating and marriage as played out by his friends.

The selected shows reflect Wego Drama’s theme for its 2013-14 season of “See, Think, Act Differently,” according to the release.

Performances will be held at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Community High School, 326 Joliet St. in West Chicago. Tickets are free with a recommended donation of $10.
