Benedictine artist-in-residence to perform new work

LISLE – Chicago choreographer and Benedictine University's spring 2014 Artist-in-Residence Emily Stein will present “Corps/Corpus,” a new work-in-progress, at 7 p.m. March 12 at the Fr. Michael E. Komechak, O.S.B., Art Gallery, on the fifth floor of Kindlon Hall on the university campus, 5700 College Road, according to a college news release.

Stein will perform a solo piece and a professional troupe will perform a work she choreographed for five dancers.

The performance will also include excerpts from her show, “Secret Experiments in Ballet #2.”

Stein is a faculty member at the Dance Center of Columbia College and the Joffrey Ballet's Bridge Program.

The performance is free, but seating is limited.
