LEMONT – Members of Cub Scout Pack 249 in Lemont came to visit the Suburban Life newsroom on Monday afternoon.

Kenton Shoup, 6, said they were there "to get a badge and to learn."

The scouts are required to visit places in the community to learn how they work.

While at the newsroom, they got to learn all the different steps of making a newspaper.

One of the other activities the scouts got to do recently was a boat derby at Lemont United Methodist Church.

"We had to blow on it and if it fell over, we got to pick them up," said Jacob Sewell, 7.

Kenton and Jacob were joined on the tour by Noah Staley, 6.
