Gov. Quinn announces $2.9 million for Elmhurst, Villa Park bridge
ELMHURST – Gov. Pat Quinn announced $2.9 million of a capital investment for a bridge replacement project in DuPage County.
The Jobs Now! capital construction project is part of Quinn’s agenda to create jobs and drive Illinois’ economy forward.
A bridge carrying Illinois Route 64/North Avenue over Salt Creek in Villa Park and Elmhurst will be replaced for $2,907,563 by Illinois Constructors Corporation of Elburn, the lowest of six bidders. The project will be overseen by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
The project is part of Quinn’s $31 billion Illinois Jobs Now! program, which will support more than 439,000 jobs over six years, according to a news release.
