LISLE – Benedictine University will host the final Republican gubernatorial candidate debate before the 2014 primary elections from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Dan and Ada Rice Center on the main campus, 5700 College Road, according to a college news release.
The university has invited candidates State Sen. Bill Brady, R – Bloomington; State Sen. Kirk Dillard, R – Hinsdale; State Treasurer Dan Rutherford; and R8 Capital Partners Chairman Bruce Rauner.
Benedictine's nonpartisan Center for Civic Leadership is sponsoring the event.
Debate co-sponsor AM 560 “The Answer” will air a live remote broadcast from 5 to 7 p.m. featuring former Illinois congressman Joe Walsh, as well as a post-debate show from 9 to 10 p.m.
