HINSDALE – During the Feb. 24 District 86 Board of Education Meeting, Superintendent Bruce Law reported that a complete listing of textbooks proposed for adoption is available for public review, according to Hinsdale 86 Board Briefs.

This marks the first compilation of all district textbooks, according to the brief.

The board believes this resource will benefit the district's families and strengthen their ability to make informed course selections, according to the brief.

Both Law and the board agreed that the district will be better served by providing an opportunity for community-wide review of the book selection prior to the board vote. Law also believes students’ course selection will be enhanced by having this information available during the registration process, according to the brief.
