LEMONT – Paczki are a hot item on Fat Tuesday, so those planning to participate in the tradition need to make plans fast.

Celina's Deli, 814 State St., Lemont, said they are making at least 2,000 paczki, but expect to sell out by 8 a.m.

Chipain's, 1100 State St., Lemont, has paczki coming in from three different bakeries and is already selling them.

Paczki are a Polish pastry traditionally eaten in Poland on Fat Thursday and Fat Tuesday.
