Nonprofit seeks nominations for outstanding athlete, coach

ROUND LAKE BEACH – Lake County Challengers will host a Challengers Award Benefit Dinner from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, April 17 at the Round Lake Beach Cultural and Civic Center, 2007 N. Civic Center Way.This fundraising benefit will feature the keynote speaker former NBA Bulls player and coach Bill Cartwright, and have a special guest appearance by former Purdue Boilermaker Kenny Williams.Nominate an outstanding student athlete or coach at www.lcchallengers.webs.com. Nominations are open through March 20.This family-friendly event will feature a light dinner, a silent auction of celebrity autographed memorabilia and other unique items. Tickets are $35 upfront or $40 at the door. Special discounts and group rates are available.
