ICCP students could compete in state finals math competition

ELMHURST – Two IC Catholic Prep math teams earned awards at the Illinois Council of Teachers of Mathematics regional competition at North Central College in Naperville.

Algebra I team members Max Czyzycki, James Kenneally, Robert Vitek, Demitra Del Fiacco, Kaitlyn Grady and Deirdre Lee placed second at the regional competition. They may also have the chance to advance to the state finals May 3 at the University of Illinois in Champaign.

Oral team Evan Czyzycki and Bailey McCann also placed second at the regional and also hope to advance to the state finals.

Michelle Ferguson and Diane Martin coach the ICCP math team.
