Lemont High School recently announced the hiring of Dina Kyriakoulis as the new boys volleyball head coach beginning with the upcoming spring season.

Kyriakoulis takes over the program from Zach Splitt, who coached the team the past two seasons before resigning in January to become the new boys volleyball coach at Oswego East High School.

For the last three years, Kyriakoulis has served as the sophomore coach in the girls program.

From 2011-13, she guided the Indians to a combined 62-22-3 record, whichincluded perfect 13-0 conference records and South Suburban Conference sophomore titles in both 2011 and 2012.

Kyriakoulis spent eight seasons as an assistant boys and girls volleyball coach at Reavis High School and also has filled the role of club volleyball coach with the 1st Alliance Volleyball Club, Celtic Force Volleyball Club, Attack Volleyball Club and Sports Performance Volleyball Club.

A standout player and team captain as a player at Reavis, Kyriakoulis went on to play for two seasons at Aurora University, where she saw time both as a setter and libero.
