Iraq War veteran, author Miyoko Hikiji to speak at First Division Museum

WHEATON – Author and Iraq War veteran Miyoko Hikiji will visit the First Division Museum for a discussion of her 2013 book, "All I Could Be: My Story as a Woman Warrior in Iraq," according to a museum news release.

During her nine-year career, Hikiji served a 400-day tour of duty in Iraq in 2003. She holds two bachelor of science degrees from Iowa State University, in journalism/mass communication and psychology.

The event will take place at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the museum, 1S 151 Winfield Road, Wheaton. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. A book signing will follow the presentation.

Admission and parking are free.
