Attorney offers scholarships for area students

A Palatine attorney is offering $2,500 in scholarships to high school seniors in Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake and McHenry counties, according to a news release from the Law Office of Nicholas W. Richardson, P.C..

The family law attorney announced a four-scholarship award program Feb. 18, comprising of one $1,300 grand-prize scholarship, one runner-up worth $700 and two honorable mention prizes worth $250 each.

“Of the hundreds of families I’ve worked with in Chicago’s northwest suburbs, I know most are concerned about how or if they can help their kids with college,” Richardson said in the release. “Given my area of focus, I figured giving back through a scholarship program made sense.”

To enter, students must submit a 500-word essay on how the Bill of Rights affects their daily lives through www.nickrichardsonlaw.com/sholarship-program. The first 50 entrants will receive a copy of College PaperBuddy.
