LA GRANGE PARK – With Arbor Day just two months away, the village of La Grange Park is now accepting nominations for its annual tree recognition.

For the past 10 years, the village has planted a tree honoring a specific person or group in town. To be nominated, the person or group must have made a positive contribution to the community.

While Arbor Day falls on April 25, the tree will be planted sometime between late April and early May, during a public ceremony. The tree, planted in a public place, will also come with a small plaque mentioning the chosen winner.

To send in a nomination, visit www.lagrangepark.org. Nominations are due by April 14 and should be sent to Tree Planting at La Grange Park Village Hall, 447 N. Catherine Ave., or emailed to abagley@lagrangepark.org.
