HINSDALE – Hinsdale Township High School District 86 continues to validate the residencies of all students who are registered for courses, according to a District 86 report.

District 86 Executive Director of Student Services Joyce Powell updated attendees during a Feb. 13 Board of Education meeting, explaining that about 100 families whose addresses indicated "no activity" were asked to provide additional documents to verify their residency, according to the report.

The documents – which are compiled by American Heritage Protective Services – are being reviewed by the Powell and legal counsel.

Steve Pollack from American Heritage Protective Services advised the board that initial residency checks have also begun on incoming freshman class.

This effort produced out-of-district residency from Aurora, Cicero, Chicago, Downers Grove, Elmwood Park, Franklin Park, Glendale Heights, Hanover Park, Melrose and Northlake, making the need for residency verification "clear and evident," read the report.
