District 108, park districts to host aquatic center forums

ROSELLE – Community forums have been scheduled at local park districts to address the proposed Lake Park Community Aquatic Center, which will be voted on March 18, according to a news release from Lake Park High School District 108.

Residents are invited to attend and learn details about the project, such as the involvement of the Bloomingdale, Itasca, Medinah and Roselle park districts; the project’s cost to taxpayers; and its benefits to the community.

The forums will take place on the following dates and will be hosted by the following park districts:

• 9 a.m. Feb. 22, Roselle

• 7 p.m. Feb. 26, Bloomingdale

• 3:30 p.m. March 6, Medinah

• 7 p.m. March 11, Itasca

The project would add about 23,500 square feet at the Lake Park East Campus and would include an eight-lane pool, an activity pool and seating for 330 spectators.
