COUNTY – Sheriff Mark C. Curran Jr. hired three deputy sheriffs as lateral transfers from local law enforcement agencies, according to a news release from Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
Ari Briskman, of Highland Park; Tina Cora, of Niles; and Michael Nudi, of Buffalo Grove; were sworn in as deputy sheriffs Wednesday morning by Lake County Clerk Willard Helander.
Briskman has a bachelor’s degree from Western Illinois University in law enforcement. He was a police explorer with Lake County Sheriff’s Explorer Post 2066 for three years and a former Lake County Sheriff’s Office Marine Unit deputy. He spent two years as a police officer with Round Lake Park Police Department and more than three years as an officer with Antioch Police Department.
Cora spent six years as a telecommunicator with Niles Police Department. She spent four years as a police officer with Hawthorn Woods Police Department. She also spent more than one year assigned to the Lake County Major Crimes Task Force and is a juvenile officer.
Nudi was a police explorer with Lincolnshire Police Department for four years. He spent two years as a telecommunicator with Mundelein Police Department. He then worked as a community service officer at Lincolnshire for two years before he spent five years with Lincolnshire Police Department as a police officer.
