Great Lakes Library offers programs for all

"Bowled Over By Books" is the reading program that starts Monday.

The Great Lakes Library is located in Bldg. 617. The phone number is 847-688-4617. Its hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Programs include the following.

Preschool story time

Bring your preschoolers for stories and a craft from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday.

Spring reading program

Get “Bowled over by Books” during our spring reading program. Children ages 3-13 can stop in the library beginning Monday to pick up a reading bag and log. Return the log for a chance to win prizes.

AWE early literacy station

The children’s area features the AWE Early Literacy Station, which help develop reading, math and other skills for grades pre-K-4th.

Freegal music

Why pay for your favorite music? Stop in the library to sign up for Freegal music and download three free songs every week.

Teen readers   

Be sure to visit the library and check out our teen book section!

Crafters

The library has a Cricut machine, scrapbooking and craft supplies, knitting needles, a drawing table, and craft books. Stop in and get creative!

Board gamers

Drop by the library for a game of chess, Scrabble, Bookopoly, or other board games.
