As we approach the end of a winter which we hope we can forget, but will probably live in our memories for a long time, it’s so refreshing to start looking forward to the arrival of spring and new beginnings.
On March 9 we turn the clocks forward … yes, we lose an hour of sleep, but we’re that much closer to summer, there’s St. Patrick’s day on March 17, and so much more coming up this month.
The Addison Chamber of Commerce & Industry has a very busy month, as well. We’ll be partnering with state Sen. Tom Cullerton, the Illinois Department of Employment Security, and the Glendale Heights Chamber of Commerce in an Unemployment Insurance Workshop on “Meeting Business Needs” on March 12 at Glendale Lakes Golf Club. Our monthly luncheon meeting will be a multi-chamber event on March 27 at Dave & Buster’s, where our guest speaker David Hass, Enroll DuPage Navigator, DuPage County Health Department will provide attendees with updates and valuable information on the Affordable Healthcare Act. Potential attendees are reminded that reservations are required – non-chamber members are welcome -- chamber of commerce members attend at reduced prices.
Sunday, March 30 will be our Second Annual Wedding & Special Event EXPO at Alta Villa Banquets from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The public is invited to attend at no cost, to visit our exhibitors ranging from special event services, flowers, entertainers, wedding and special event attire, gift ideas, personal services and so much more – including a bridal and formal wear fashion show. Complimentary food samples will also be offered to attendees. Again, this event is open to the public -- no reservations are required, and attendance is free. At this writing there are still some exhibit spaces available – to take advantage of this fantastic opportunity to connect with potential customers as an exhibitor, please contact the Addison Chamber of Commerce & Industry office.
