Quinten Terelic (left), Troy Wisner and Ryan Cuccinotto, all of Villa Park, learn hip hop dance moves Jan. 15 during class at the Iowa Community Center in Villa Park.

THUMBS UP: These boys are building confidence with a beat. Confidence is one of the main takeaways from the Boys Hip Hop dance class, according to instructor Josh Porter. After the six-week Villa Park Parks & Recreation program, the boys – ages 7 to 12 – will perform March 8 at Willowbrook High School.

THUMBS UP: The Villa Park Board of Trustees took a step toward creating a comprehensive flood plan when it approved studies that will identify problem areas and prioritize future flood control projects throughout the village. When it comes to flood mitigation in Villa Park, any progress is welcomed.
