Loyola offers 'Derm-in-a-Day' appointments for pediatric dermatology

Rash keeping baby awake? Blemish outbreak the day before prom? Loyola dermatologists can help the same day or next.

Loyola University Health System pediatric dermatologists will now offer same-day or next-day appointments to see children at the Loyola Center for Health at La Grange Park, 321 N. La Grange Road, or the Loyola Center for Health at Burr Ridge, 6800 Frontage Road.

Two new pediatric dermatologists have bee hired by Loyola. Dr. Wendy Schumacher-Kim's medical interests include general pediatric dermatology, vascular lesions, including hemangiomas and port wine stains, birth marks, laser surgery, psoriasis and acne. She earned her doctor of osteopathic medicine from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dr. Lily Changchien Uihlein is a pediatric dermatologist whose medical interests include general pediatric dermatology, vascular birthmarks and laser surgery. Dr.. Uihlein earned her medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College at Cornell University. She completed her internship at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University.
