Lombard Police Sgt. Malatia graduates from public safety program

LOMBARD – Lombard Police Sergeant John Malatia recently graduated from the School of Police Staff and Command at Northwestern University.

Sgt. Malatia successfully completed the 10-week program, which concluded last month. Implemented by the Center for Public Safety in 1983, the program has graduated more than 14,000 students.

The SPSC provides upper-level college instruction on topics including leadership, human resources, employee relations, organizational behavior, applied statistics, planning and policy development, budgeting and resource allocation.
