DOWNERS GROVE - The Glenbard West boys basketball team might not have shot very well from close to the basket Friday.

But the Hilltoppers more than made up for it with their production from beyond the three-point arc and from the charity stripe in a 62-56 win over Downers Grove North.

The visitors made 20-of-23 free throws, including a 9-for-10 effort from Will Reedy in the fourth quarter as Glenbard West slowly pulled away. Reedy finished with a game-high 17 points.

The Hilltoppers also shot 8-of-14 from the three-point arc, which included a pair of trifectas from Brian Cochrane which gave the team the lead for good early in the fourth quarter.

Cochrane totaled 11 points as did Corey Davis.

Glenbard West led for much of the contest before Downers Grove North went on a third quarter run to take a 36-35 lead into the final eight minutes.
