Hope and Friendship Foundation of Lemont to deliver sack lunches

LEMONT – Volunteers and donations are requested for a sack lunch delivery project at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Lemont Township Office, 1115 Warner Ave.

Hope and Friendship Foundation Founder Terri O'Neill-Borders has set a goal of 500 lunches. To meet the goal, she needs: loaves of bread; jars of peanut butter and jelly, lunch meat; wrapped cheese slices; nonperishable snacks; snack bags of chips and pretzels; and cases of single serving bottles of water.

O'Neill-Borders also hopes to collect 1,000 uplifting notes and Valentines to put in the lunches.

Donations can be made at the Township Office lobby or the Lemont Police Station lobby, 14600 E. 127th St.
