Hit and run reported

• Victim reported a gray or white car with two white male occupants struck her car and continued without stopping at 8:50 a.m. Feb. 5 at Grant Square and Chestnut Street.

• Someone hit a victim's parked car and damaged the driver side mirror at 5:29 p.m. Feb. 6 in the 300 block of West Hickory Street.

Deceptive practice reported

A woman reported someone wrote a check in the amount of $1,500 using her bank account information at noon Feb. 2 in the 800 block of Phillippa Street.

Criminal damage reported

Someone bent and pushed open a metal gate at the east exit from Institute in Basic Life Principles between 6 p.m. Feb. 7 and 2:06 p.m. Feb. 8 at 950 N. Madison St.

Computer fraud reported

Someone reported being the victim of an Internet scam between 11:25 a.m. Jan. 24 and 4:11 p.m. Feb. 5 in the 400 block of Warren Terrace. The victim sent $2,075 via money order to a suspect who claimed to have employment opportunities.

Identity theft reported

Someone used a victim's identity to open a cellphone account at noon Feb. 16, 2013 in the 700 block of South Adams Street. The phone company notified the victim of a delinquent balance of $492.79.
