HINSDALE – The American Association of Diabetes Educators has named Adventist Health Partners Diabetes Self-Management Education an accredited diabetes education program.

The newly accredited program will provide residents in and around Cook, DuPage and Will counties with increased access to critical diabetes education services.

Diabetes educators provide people with or at risk for diabetes the knowledge they need to modify behavior and successfully self-manage the disease and its related conditions, according to a news release.

AHP Diabetes Self-Management Education, located at 12 Salt Creek Lane in Hinsdale, will offer individual appointments for diabetes education. Those interested in setting up an appointment with the program’s accredited diabetes educator can call 630-856-2731.
