Rocky May, dean of students, directs kids to their buses Feb. 4 after their first day back at Hinsdale Middle School, which was closed for two weeks while crews eradicated mold.

THUMBS UP: Students are back at Hinsdale Middle School after crews worked to remediate the building of mold. Life returned to normal Feb. 4 for teachers and students who shared a split schedule at Clarendon Hills Middle School for two weeks. A nod also goes to Director of Communications Bridget McGuiggan and District 181 for working diligently to keep the community in the know.

THUMBS DOWN: The Darien VFW is in jeopardy of losing its home. Right now, VFW members from Post 2838 meet rent free in a storefront at the Heritage Center strip mall. However, the potential sale or rebuild of the property has the VFW searching for a new home. Anyone looking to help out can purchase tickets for the Rockin' with the Vets
fundraiser March 7. For more information, visit darienvfw2838.org/concert.
