CLARENDON HILLS – The Clarendon Hills Park District recently welcomed Laura Reinke of Villa Park as its new recreation supervisor.

In her new role, Reinke will have summer responsibilities as the aquatics manager at the Lions Park Pool, 100 Byrd Court.

Despite the deep freeze and heavy snows this winter, the newest staff member at the Clarendon Hills Park District is already looking forward to opening day at the Lions Park Pool over Memorial Day weekend. She is hiring lifeguards and is setting her sights on bringing new programs, special events and classes to the Lions Park complex in 2014, according to a news release from the Clarendon Hills Park District.

With a natural talent as a swimmer, Reinke participated in the Lombard Park District swim team between 1999 and 2005, and found her first summer job as a lifeguard while still a student at Willowbrook High School in Villa Park, according to the release.

Reinke is a graduate of Illinois State University, where she majored in business and communications.
