BOLINGBROOK – A driver had to be extricated from her car Tuesday afternoon after a two-car crash just outside of Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital.

The 45-year-old woman was treated for non-life threatening injuries after her Toyota Highlander collided with a car pulling out of the hospital parking lot around 3:05 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

Substantial damage to the woman's car forced the Bolingbrook Fire Department to use extrication equipment, according to police.

The male driver of the Monte Carlo was uninjured, according to police.

Officers closed lanes of traffic on Remington Boulevard for a short time to render aid and clear the scene.

It's unclear if either driver was cited.
