Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce seeks Community Award nominations

GLEN ELLYN – The Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce and the Village Fair Committee are seeking nominations for the annual Community Awards.

Nominations will be accepted for the following awards: Citizen of the Year, Business of the Year, Not-for-Profit Organization of the Year and Senior Citizen of the Year.

According to a chamber news release, eligibility criteria include:

• Must be Glen Ellyn resident or organization active in Glen Ellyn
• Must have worked on or developed specific projects to benefit the village
• Must have volunteered time, energy and devotion to signficantly improving quality of life in Glen Ellyn.

The Community Awards Breakfast will be held March 8 at the Crowne Plaza, 1250 Roosevelt Road.

The awards program will run from 7:30 until 9 a.m. Tickets are available from the Chamber of Commerce for $25 per person or $175 for a table of eight.

Anyone is welcome. All guests must purchase tickets.

Nominations are due March 1. The nomination form is available at www.glenellynchamber.com.

Selections of Outstanding Firefighter, Police Officer and Educators from school districts 41, 87 and 89 will be presented at the ceremony as well.
