DuPage County to host annual severe weather seminar

A DuPage County seminar will train and inform community members who are a part of the weather warning system from 7 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. March 15 at Wheaton College, according to county officials.

The 23rd annual Advanced Severe Weather Seminar will be hosted by the DuPage County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management and will provide continuing education to trained weather spotters, including amateur radio operators, emergency management personnel, police and fire, and educators.

Presenters for the event include Fox Chicago meteorologist Tammie Souza, officials from the National Weather Service and others.
