Although residents of many municipalities are still slipping, sliding and shivering after last week's snowfall, DuPage, Cook and Will counties will be hit with several fresh inches of snow tonight through tomorrow morning, according to the National Weather Service.

The area will receive between 2 and 5 inches of snow, the service said, accompanied by winds of 20 to 25 mph late this evening. Travel will be affected into the Wednesday morning commute.

The service released a Winter Weather Advisory for Will County effective 3 p.m. Tuesday, and for DuPage and Cook starting at 6 p.m., both continuing until noon Wednesday.
