The DuPage Convalescent Center is seeking donations to send Valentine's wishes to facility residents, according to a DuPage County news release.

Each year, heart-shaped balloons decorate the center and are given to residents on Valentine's Day. Last year, more than 800 balloons filled the building.

Balloons cost $3 each. Donations will be accepted until Feb. 13 and may be sent to the DuPage Convalescent Center Attn: Valentine Balloons, 400 N. County Farm Road, Wheaton, Ill. 60187. Funds from the sale will benefit the Resident Recreation Fund.

"We look forward to continuing this 25-year-old tradition," said DuPage County Health and Human Services Chairman Bob Larsen. "Every year, Valentine's Day gives us an additional opportunity to warm the hears of many elderly and disabled individuals who live here in our community."
