HINSDALE – Adventist Hinsdale Hospital will unveil its newest art display, “I Am Who I Am,” at a reception starting at 5 p.m. Feb. 13. The event is open to the public.

Designed to raise awareness of children with special needs, the exhibit will feature portraits of children and their families, both from the community and the hospital staff. The photos, taken at the hospital Jan. 19, are etched onto tin plates, which will hang in the hospital’s atrium, according to an Adventist Hinsdale news release.

Artwork made by the children, and short stories about each child photographed, will be included in the display.

Adventist Hinsdale Hospital put together this project in partnership with Chicago resident Holly Simon, who started the "I Am Who I Am" program, according to the release. Chris Martin, Adventist Hinsdale Hospital labor and delivery clinical coordinator, helped bring the project to the hospital.
