Helping Hand receives highest accreditation
COUNTRYSIDE – Helping Hand Center has been distinguished with the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization dedicated to helping children and adults with developmental disabilities.
The award comes as a result of an intensive, three-day, on-site peer review process performed by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, an international accrediting body that evaluates and provides benchmarks for the industry.
Helping Hand offers measurable and accountable programs and services for people with developmental disabilities, including outpatient therapies, early intervention, a school for children with autism, high school transition, residential homes, employment services, adult developmental training, behavioral services and special recreation programs.
Started in 1955, Helping Hand has been providing services to the developmentally disabled that are crucial to achieving independence.
