Carol Stream Park District offers beekeeping class

CAROL STREAM – The Carol Stream Park District is offering a class on natural beekeeping this winter, according to a news release from the district.

The course will include information about treatment-free beekeeping methods, honey bee biology and behavior, beehive assembly and maintenance, honey extraction and seasonal tasks, the release said.

The class fulfills the Hanover Park Community Apiary's instructional requirement for beginning beekeepers, according to the release.

Cost to participate is $50. Classes start Feb. 6.
